Goodbye, Andrew

Saturday, September 24th, 2005

Went for Andrew’s farewell party at Somerset Ice Cold Beer- he has done all he could at Coleman. We go way back to Marina days and saw the transformation of Coleman - people just left 1 by 1 and it’s the saddest to see him go. Though we didn’t get to talk to each other much since I started at ITE, somehow his presence could be felt whenever I go to Coleman. He helped me so much when I was without a job last year and I’m always so entertained by his stories about China and his students. So now it feels wierd to teach at Coleman- wouldn’t know who to approach when my projector can’t work, when the DW MX can’t be activated, either would he zoom past me and say “hi, Nat”. So who’s gonna prepare my Letter of Appointment next?

The other reason to add to all the sadness is also becoz Dong Anh is going back to Vietnam. He gave me so many instant noodles and gum last nite coz he’s clearing his stuff b4 leaving. He has ever been so sweet, he gave me home-made spring rolls and named the brightest star “Thessa” just to cheer me up.

Missing them already.
